About me…

Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Josie has always had a passion for visual arts. After earning two associate degrees, one in Photography and the other in Video Production Technology, she started her career at WBIR in Knoxville, TN. There, she edited videos for the 5 pm, 6 pm, 10 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. From there, she moved to North Carolina, unexpectedly falling in love with the state. She achieved her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from NCA&T (AGGIE PRIDE) while working at WFMY in Greensboro, NC. Josie edited the video for the daily newscast.

Wanting to expand her career, Josie moved to Winston-Salem, NC, where she worked at WXII. While at WXII, she edited newscast videos and collaborated with reporters to shoot, edit, and maintain live shots for the newscast. Now you can find Josie at WRAL in Raleigh, NC, telling the stories of people in the triangle. Daily, she will shoot, edit, and stream videos for one of the best news stations in the southeast. In her free time, you can find her playing video games or watching YouTube, most likely doing both at the same time. She lives with three cats Iris, Nyx, and Milo. Josie is passionate about her work and willing to learn new techniques. She believes one of the best parts of her job is using video to connect with the community.
